Marijuana Regulation

The marijuana industry presents some of the most complex and novel legal challenges. Patients, growers, and dispensaries all must deal with a comprehensive dual-licensing scheme on the state and local level. In addition to constantly emerging regulations and changes, medical and recreational marijuana remain illegal under federal law, which is another area we are familiar with because of our vast federal practice. Additionally, there are sub-specialties such as marijuana-infused product manufacturing, facility maintenance, inventory controls, packaging and labeling that are all strictly regulated. Mistakes in compliance can have many consequences, including serious drug prosecution.
