In 2023 a client called our firm to say that he was going to be charged with murdering three people in cold blood in 2002. The FBI and local investigators said that new advances in DNA technology placed our client at the scene of a triple homicide at a bowling alley in Lakewood, Colorado.

Our firm’s investigation revealed that one of our client’s relatives had used a genotyping platform for analyzing DNA for health and ancestry purposes. Unbeknownst to the family member, the data was shared with law enforcement. Not only did the client face life without parole, if he got charged his national charity that feeds hundreds of elderly Holocaust survivors in the U.S. would collapse. His successes included CEO of a large manufacturing entity as well as a venture capitalist. Our firm conducted dozens of interviews, found evidence that law enforcement overlooked and presented DNA expert findings that dissuaded the prosecution from filing charges.
