	JURY ACQUITTAL IN DRUG CONSPIRACY CASE
	My client was charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and methamphetamine in a scheme involving the execution of government witnesses. Specifically, undercover agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms penetrated a group of drug dealers who were plotting to murder potential government witnesses who would reveal their drug distribution activities. The U.S. Department of Justice charged that my client was the chemist who manufactured the bombs for this plot. In opening statement the United States Attorney told the jury that my client gave a 13-page confession to the crime. My investigative team learned that my client was an accomplished chemist who only met the other conspirators during a single episode of recreational drug use; further investigation revealed that the U.S. Department of Justice's "snitch" gave false information about my client in exchange for a reduced prison sentence. My client testified at trial and explained to the jury that his "confession" was a work of fiction written out by A.T.F. agents. Expert testimony showed that the forensic evidence seized from my client's laboratory did not match any of the bombs. The Department of Justice needed three years to build its case. The jury needed three hours to acquit my client.
